
2. WELEDA
In 2017-19 Lauren was the very lucky winner of the Weleda Global Garden competition by Swiss wellness company Weleda. Prize being a global trip to 13 countries - filming, photographing, presenting and blogging about sustainability, eco farming practices and low-tox living.
A highly sort over position with over 5k global applications, culminated with 16 finalists from 16 different countries selected via a social media voting poll.
The finalists spent a week at Weleda’s biodynamic gardens in Germany attending expert lead workshops, product demonstrations, learning about Weleda practices and philosophy. Throughout the week the 16 candidates were also asked to showcase their talents and skills throughout a series of creative challenges judged by a panel from Weleda.
As the winner of the Weleda Global Garden competition Lauren embarked on an international trip travelling to Weleda locations to learn about natural plant ingredients, spa treatments, bee projects and Rudolf Steiner from Weleda’s very own gardeners and growers. It was her job to be the eyes, ears and hands of the 5M strong global social media audience to take them on the un edited journey with her.
Lauren then worked with the team from Pascher + Heinz to turn the blog into a published travelogue which Lauren launched at Vivaness in Nuremburg, Germany in 2020 – An international trade fair for natural and organic Personal Care. She was offered the role of Global Communications Directors by Weleda global.
